Marina Popović est née en 1976 à Belgrade, en Serbie. Elle a poursuivi sa passion pour les arts et a obtenu en 1999 un diplôme en peinture à l'Académie des Arts de Novi Sad. En 2001, elle a poursuivi ses études en obtenant un Master of Arts dans la même institution. Son mémoire de maîtrise s'intitulait "La Poétique du Gestuel."

Poursuivant son parcours académique, Marina a terminé son doctorat en Arts et Médias en 2009 au sein des Études Doctorales Interdisciplinaires de l'Université des Arts de Belgrade. Sa thèse, "Les Principes de la Reconceptualisation des Théories de l'Œuvre Ouverte," s'est étalée de 2015 à 2018.

La dévotion de Marina pour son domaine l'a conduite à poursuivre un second doctorat, qu'elle a obtenu en 2019 à l'Académie des Arts de Novi Sad. Sa seconde thèse s'intitulait "Mode de l'Image – Mondes Multiples de l'Image."

Marina a présenté ses talents artistiques dans plus de 40 expositions individuelles et 100 expositions collectives à travers la Serbie, l'Autriche et d'autres lieux internationaux. Son travail, caractérisé par son expression puissante et sa nature imprévisible, lui a valu de nombreux prix, tant pour ses œuvres peintes que pour ses pièces dans la catégorie des médias élargis.

Depuis 2004, Marina fait partie intégrante de la faculté de l'Académie des Arts de Novi Sad, où elle a contribué de manière significative au Département de Peinture. Son engagement et son excellence ont été reconnus en 2023 lorsqu'elle a été promue professeure. De plus, elle est devenue membre du conseil du Centre de Recherche en Art à l'Académie des Arts de Novi Sad en 2014.

En 2019, Marina a élargi ses horizons en participant à un programme Erasmus à l'Accademia delle Belle Arti di Napoli (Académie des Beaux-Arts de Naples).

Marina Popović was born in 1976 in Belgrade, Serbia. She pursued her passion for the arts, graduating in 1999 with a degree in painting from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Since 2004, Marina has been a vital part of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad's faculty, where she has contributed significantly to the Department of Painting. Her commitment and excellence were recognized in 2023 when she was promoted to professor. Additionally, she became a board member of the Centre for Art Research at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in 2014.

In 2019, Marina expanded her horizons by participating in an Erasmus program at the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Napoli (Academy of Fine Arts in Naples).

Marina Popović rođena je 1976. godine u Beogradu, Srbija. Pratila je svoju strast prema umetnosti, diplomirajući 1999. godine na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu sa diplomom iz slikarstva. Godine 2001. nastavila je svoje obrazovanje sticanjem master diplome na istoj instituciji. Njen master rad nosio je naslov „Poetika gestualnog.“ Nastavljajući svoje akademsko putovanje, Marina je 2009. godine završila doktorske studije iz umetnosti i medija na Interdisciplinarnim doktorskim studijama Univerziteta umetnosti u Beogradu. Njen doktorski rad, „Principi rekontekstualizacije teorija otvorenog dela,“ trajao je od 2015. do 2018. godine. Marinin posvećenost svom polju dovela je do toga da upiše drugi doktorski studij, koji je završila 2019. godine na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu. Njena druga disertacija nosila je naslov „Mod slike – Višestruki svetovi slike.“

Marina je prikazivala svoje umetničke talente na više od 40 solo i 100 kolektivnih izložbi širom Srbije, Austrije i drugih međunarodnih lokacija. Njeno delo, koje se odlikuje snažnim izražajem i nepredvidivom prirodom, donelo je brojne nagrade, kako za slikane radove, tako i za radove u kategoriji proširenih medija.

Od 2004. godine, Marina je važan deo fakulteta Akademije umetnosti u Novom Sadu, gde je značajno doprinosila Odeljenju za slikarstvo. Njena posvećenost i izvrsnost prepoznate su 2023. godine kada je unapređena u zvanje profesora. Takođe, postala je član upravnog odbora Centra za istraživanje umetnosti pri Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu 2014. godine.

Godine 2019. Marina je proširila svoje horizonte učešćem u Erasmus programu na Accademia delle Belle Arti di Napoli (Akademija likovnih umetnosti u Napulju).
